After a break of 3 weeks, overdone it trying to get under 30 minute 5k...

Feels wonderful to be back out running. Surprised that it's dark at 5am.

Enjoy your your run today. Remember to enjoy the feeling after, and smile.

Took me months after graduation to get sub 30 5k. Just keep running. Slow down and do one run a little bit further each week and maybe bridge to 10k. It’ll help your 5k pace improve. Improvements take months and even years.

Well done for getting back out there

"Smiling is advanced" as one fitness instructor says, but it really does help. Smile, laugh, sing, whatever feels right for you. I've always loved the saying "Smile - the world will wonder what you're up to" suits me perfectly 🤣

Speed will come will time, and weirdly as you increase distance, shorter runs become easier, and then quicker. 👍🏻😁
