Well I did it. Finished C25K. Hard to believe, the time has passed so quickly! I turned 56 last week, and the last time I ran for 30 minutes straight I think I was probably 25 or 26 years old! Much better now, I hated it when I tried it back in my 20's, and didn't keep at it for very long.
This time though, I have lots of plans for future runs! I don't think I want to work toward 10k or anything, not right now. I just want to improve my 30 minutes, work towards 5k. I'm nowhere near 5k but I don't really care! I did 30 minutes and that was my goal. I'm going to check out the C25K+ podcasts, and I've downloaded the Nike Run Club app and have done a search here on the forums for NRC so I've already got several runs I want to try out. I've been exploring the idea of new podcasts to listen to while I run, I never seem to have the time to do that otherwise, and I've got some great Spotify playlists when I want to run to music. There are so many different things I want to try! I've also got my brand new Garmin watch to play around with. I've had it for a couple weeks but haven't really explored everything it can do.
This forum has been a lifesaver for me! There aren't many other Americans here, at least not that I've seen, but y'all have been so welcoming and helpful. Thank you! I had to throw in that y'all, I'm from Texas.
Happy running!
