Last Wednesday I completed the last of my 30 minute runs and formally graduated at a very slow pace of 4.4 mph. Two days later I achieved a run of 35 minutes having run for 4K - not a good time but I was pleased! That run showed me how much performance is is influenced by a positive mental attitude and self belief, so much so that this morning I decided that I could possibly reach the golden goal of 5K if I just kept going for it - and I did!
Together with the advice of drinking 500ml of water before a run and stretching after, I am now going to consolidate my running at 5K with the aim of enjoying new routes and improving my pace; knowing that running is as much about mind over matter as it is about physical endurance.

Hi Anne. Back at the end of March I started the C25k finding the thought that I could even attempt to run a mile as daunting, as you may have done, but we can do it now! You don’t have much more to go, so go for it at your own pace and be proud of yourself. 🤩
