So, completed the 20 min run @ end of wk 5 (nearly killed me but felt amazing after!). It was W6/R1 today and couldn’t do the 8 min run and had to stop. I’m stretching after runs and drinking plenty of water so am hoping it’s a blip and will try again Saturday- did anyone else experience this?

It catches a few folk out :) Just another structured, different run... the whole programme is actually abut so much more than just running:)

Well done you... rest up... begin to up your strength and stamina work too on some of the rest days, now that the runs are getting longer. Then, when you head out gain.. steady , slow and relax...you will do this..well done you!

It is probably more of a psychological issue than anything else.

Many feel they have cracked this running thing when they run W5R3..........one twenty minute run does not a runner make.............and the approach is possibly a bit casual, if not cocky.

W6R1 catches out more people than any other run in the plan, I believe, and is, incidentally, your longest workout up to that point.

Have a rest day and give it another gentle go.
