I have just completed my second run of week 1. I have never run before and I found the first run hard. I felt better today and felt that I became less tired the longer the run went on. The only issue I have at the moment is my back is aching, I have been doing a lot more activity recently especially in the garden but it seems worse after the run. I injured my back years ago but I have not had an issue with it for years. I regularly do yoga and go to the gym (when they are open) but didn't run as I felt it jarred my back. I really want to continue running. Does anyone have any advice please?

I will take it all on board. I thought that my core strength was good with my yoga practice but I will certainly try to improve this. My aim is to get fit before I get to 40 later this year and to complete a park run.
I have a long way to go but I am motivated to do this for myself.
Of course it may be your old injury playing up.........they rarely disappear completely in my experience........so pay attention to the advice on minimising impact.
