Hi - am doing this with my 10 yo. We couldn’t finish the last 5 min run on run 1 but managed it this morning and felt great for it! Going to add an extra run to SK 4 just to make sure we’re totally ready for week 5. I do occasionally get pains in calves and shins but think I’ve sorted out my running style to ease the pain - let’s hope so 😀

Well done.
Stretching immediately after every run, nhs.uk/live-well/exercise/h... while muscles are still warm and supple, pulls out contractions, avoiding carrying tensions into the next run and also improves recovery by improving blood flow.
