Still Consolidating

Yesterday, for my daily outdoor exercise, I went for a run.

I have always stuck to the same route and added an extra loop or circuit if the park as required. The one thing that has marked out this route is that it has been dead flat.

Yesterday, I took another route the first half of which was a king slow incline. The last section being all downhill home. I completed a good distance and time spent running and I think my legs will benefit from the hill. It helps my confidence too when I am running down hill. I will stick with this route for the next few runs. There are a number of variations I can do to keep it interesting.

I haven't been out today. I exercised in the garden doing week 3 of strength and flexibility and a few dumb bell exercises.

I hope everyone is coping ok at the moment. Happy runnings.

How did you find the incline? I find I really notice even the slightest incline in my breathing, good to add it in when you feel you can 👍

I had started off a little quickly then was faced with the incline. It was a long pull, and I felt it, but just prodded on. That's probably why I enjoyed the downhill section so much.

I will run this course again as I feel I am doing more work without having to run further, longer or faster.
