I was doing 10-15 small cigars a day, I’m 51 years old have never run before, started the c25k program in early January had to stop at week 3 as my knees were agony, after 9 days rest I repeated week 3 and have kept going
Just completed week 5 run 3 can’t believe it!
I was weighing in at around 17.5 stone at Christmas I’m not going to weigh myself for a few months yet as I don’t want to get hung up on the weight loss number
Running for 20 minutes would have literally killed me at the start of this now I can’t wait for the next run and the buzz you get afterwards

Ahh that’s amazing to hear, huge congratulations! Great approach with the scales too, will allow you to focus on how you’re feeling and all the benefits of getting healthier! Good luck with week6!
What a great post! And well done on quitting smoking - I know from experience how tough that can be, and also the longer you quit, the better it gets. 👍 Massive well done on your running progress too! 👏👏👏 It is a great feeling, completing that 20 min run. 😁 Keep up the good work.
