Head torches

Does anyone doing the C25K or graduated use a head torch for night runs?

I want to purchase one for my night runs (to see and to be seen), seen a few but don't want to look like a plonker or as if I'm going down the mines.

Any recommendations? Relatively cheap is preferred. 👍🏻

Not a head torch... but I purchased this at the start of C25K so that I could run after work... I swear by it. Really bright, good quality and don’t have to worry about it falling off your head!

I got it on 25th December and have been running every other evening and haven’t had to charge it yet, still got plenty of charge. Honestly, it’s great! 🙂

Is there a way to turn off the red lights at the back? Lol

No, when you when you turn them on they both come on. The red isn’t anything as bright as the white, it’s just pretty handy for cars seeing you from behind though

A cyclist yelled at me the other day saying my light was brighter than a cars.. cars often slow right down before passing me as they are never sure what I am... I love that, it’s all part of the fun of running.

I have to wear them for club runs in the dark. We get called miners off others but there are loads of us do we do actually look like miners 🤣 Chest torches are good too. Better safe than sorry.

I have an ace head torch... Amazon... and lights that fit on my shoes

A head torch is a great investment if you want to continue running. I have a lupine but they are quite dear. The main thing to look for is front and back lights, adjustable and also different settings for where you are... ie small lanes ( full beam), main road ( medium or low beam if streetlights), and some reflective gear too is helpful.
