Week 3, eek!

I have just finished the last run of week 2 and thought I would have a sneak peek at week 3 which I fear may have been a bad idea! It looks on paper like quite a jump, how has everyone found it?

Relax... you will be ready for each an every run.

Slow and steady is the mantra and have confidence in yourself.

I, as many of us have, felt the same way...in the first week and 60 seconds running.

I am currently training for my next Half Marathon which is at the end of March... 2 hrs plus running:)

You will be amazed at how strong you get and where you will get to with this programme.

Week 3 of C25K is the shortest workout of the course, OK, the runs are a bit longer, but some advice to you and others, don't look ahead, wait to hear the instructions from your coach, that way you won't feel the way do when you look ahead at the coming weeks,

I've felt like that at the end f every week and like you I can't resist the temptation to look ahead to see what's coming! I've tried this technique (and I only got to the start of W4 before a stop & re-start from scratch) as I like to be prepared. I try to make the final run of my present week the length of the runs I'm going to do next week (if you understand me?) So for example, I would have tried to make the final W2 run 3 minutes instead of 90 seconds. I've done the 90 seconds, so this week is officially completed, now the next 90 seconds will give me an idea of what I'm going to be up against next. If I manage the extra time, I can go into the next week with my confidence high, already armed with that knowledge. If it's a struggle, then I know I'm going to have to approach things a little differently, slowing my pace down (even more!) so I can cope with the extra running time. Every run is a learning experience, good luck with Week 3.
