Did the 28 mins today and covered 2.96 miles (including the 10 min walk). Well chuffed with myself. I’m only focussing on time and not concerning about pace but when I saw this I was delighted! Oh - and beetroot face (and white mouth) to prove it!!

Thank you so much! So chuffed with myself. It’s tough going at times but with the great support from this forum, it’s kept me at it.

Yes, might take me a bit longer than a week - just hard to get time to get out ( I usually have 2-3days in between each run). Have to say, the extra days off seem to work for me.

And yes, consolidation runs - I did C25K about 4 or 5 years and hated it. Two things I didn’t know: firstly, slow down and go slow again. Secondly, didn’t know then of consolidation runs - I thought once I’d completed the programme that I was a 5k runner. Did a park run the next week and completed it only by promising myself that I’d NEVER run again. It was awful. So doing a Parkrun without fear of collapsing is my dream!

And just read through some of your posts of your running journey - wow! You’re like, well cool!! 5k in the bag and 10k done!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Also, are you still granny to be or has baby arrived?? 👶

Aw lovely post thank you. You are doing absolutely the right thing with your timing and rest etc. It helps you enjoy and achieve thus you will continue- fantastic. Baby still being cooked, daughter was only 2months pregnant when I started c25k so still a bit to go but I'll post for sure. Good luck with continuing your journey.

Congratulations 🥳 you’re so close to the end now 💪🏼 Well done!

Thank you! I’m nearly scared to allow myself to think that I might actually do this and might actually enjoy it and might actually do a Parkrun!!!

I love the fact that you are a bit in shock about maybe enjoying it ! This place does that to you :-)

Oh I would so love if I turned into one of those folk who just love the whole running thing! Although the other night I dream that I was out running and went so fast that I started to fly... 🐌 to 🦅. PS - I looked cool flying. 😝
