Final run done, first park run done in 40 mins. I was nervous about making this my final run as had 5 days rest due to feeling out of sorts. Running with a crazy group of friends certainly helped. Michael Johnson was no use and gave up half way round. So I just thought I'd carry on going. Can't believe I ran for 39 mins 21 secs. Driving everyone at home mad as I feel so smug.

What now, how do I graduate, and need to keep the focus. I do work better with a target, so need something. With thanks to all for the encouragement and happy Xmas running. πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸŽ‰πŸ…πŸŽˆπŸŽ‰

Woohoo! Congratulations, jive on that podium (smugly)!πŸ˜‚πŸ˜„

Check out the pinned post for new graduates and also the consolidation group thread - where, amongst other things, you can post your consolidation runs.

Consolidating 30 mins x3 a week is a good thing to do now for a few weeks, to strengthen those runner’s legs.

After that, lots of choice- some people like to use the C25K + podcasts, or move onto Ju Ju’s bridge to 10k plan then, ( there are two versions, one based on time and another based on distance). Some people like to continue with the 30 minutes three times a week pattern. There are other possible plans, eg Nike run club do guided runs apparently, but I don’t know anything about them.

Whatever you choose after consolidation, enjoy! πŸ˜„

Well done! Suggest your target is parkrun every week. Plus two other periods of 30 min exercise

Good luck

Thanks. I'm going to take it easy till Jan. I have 20 to cook for Xmas day and 27 Boxing Day. Not sure ill fit in a run. Will settle for walks to beach instead. New year onwards and up after that.
