Don’t know why i do it - but whenever I’m finding it hard to do 1 or 2km runs i set myself up for a 5k one.... just to prove to myself that I can still do it.
Ran with the speed and then stamina podcasts to add to the challenge. And along a main road from my sons school to home. (Bit dangerous).
Bit disappointed in my speed - did a 45 min run. I don’t think I’ll ever get back to my pb of 38 mins again. Never mind the golden 30!
Feeling achy but smug this morning.

I'd like to point out that they are bone-conductor ear phones - which gives me complete ambient hearing as well as the dulsed tones of Laura as she counts (not quite on the beat)!
Sadly my 38 mins seems a long way back and a long way off... but I'm not one to give up! : )
I'm hoping so... I keep trying NOT to look at my pace figures during my run. Trouble is this time I put so much 'effort' into my pace and it still didn't improve... grrrr
