Running after injury

Well just 4 runs away from completing the c25k I slipped on holiday and sustained a pilon injury to my right leg. I've only read doom and gloom on the Internet, the fracture needed surgery and now I'm left wandering if I will ever get to finish my c25k. I would really be interested to hear of any positive stories. I've still got 9 weeks left of non weight bearing but start physio Friday. My first question will be when can I start running again 🏃

Oh one literally never knows what’s round the corner! Disappointing for you. This will need time and patience and doing everything the physio. recommends. You will then go back to C25K. Just as with each run, it’s one step at a time...you now have time to read up on running & fuelling your body & other things you’ve never had time for! C25K waits for you....

That's so unfortunate. Best person to speak to will be your physio as they will be able to determine how you are responding and will no doubt give you strengthening exercises. I had to take several months off last year due to tenonitis in both knees and my physio gave me ehat can almost be described as an Injury Couch to Couch to 5k plan to get me back on track and started again.
