Getting back to running - pain free?

Well I have always been active but I have struggled with healthy eating and maintaining a healthy weight. Back pain last year really got me starting from scratch again. A year of rehab after and 5k seems a crazy task but aiming to do it with the help of my teenage son to get healthier together.

Welcome along ! You’ll find loads of support here. Good on your son for backing you up. This isn’t a weight loss programme, so if that’s a key target, make sure you follow a healthy eating plan alongside. Wish I’d thought of it my first time through ! Take it slow and steady, and have fun out there x

Good for you! Take it slow and steady - teenagers sometimes think it has to be fast. Enjoy the journey.

You are in the right place here. Lots of support, a really wonderful programme and your son to support you! Trust the programme. It can be hard but it really works. I never thought when I started that I could run and to be honest I'm still the slowest person in the world but I'm still running eight months in, lighter, sharper, happier (and I was always a cheerful soul). Welcome to the journey!
