I was a runner before I came here... I had an illness that destroyed me, and I'm just thankful to be out there again.. but no matter what happens to your body.. I was a runner.... the things that you're learning now stay with you.. coping mechanisms.. I think this is why I did it so fast. Honestly, your comment puts a big smile on my face, glad you're still here! x
Aww you will make an awesome mentor clubberlang, I remember when I first started couch25K, you gave me very welcome advice and support that got me through to graduation and beyond. Your posts and comments on here are very encouraging and appreciated 🙌😊⭐️
I've got to say, it's been a very difficult few weeks through not being able to run and through home issues. I feel rather lost, but I'll be back on it soon enough! Ps - just passed the 4 stone mark...
I know it's frustrating, but 4 stone! You're doing everything right. When you first started this journey, you were 4 stone heavier and unfit... Look at you now! You're going to smash it when you get back out there!
No it’s on the Grange. Not an easy one (you can look at a listing according to difficulty). Comes in at 521/580!! There’s Carnage Corner before you head up a hill 😆 not actually as bad as it sounds - unless it’s been wet in which case it’s MUDDY!!!
Yes it’s a funny one that! A big step to show your hand (or in this case 🦶🦶). Thank you for the offer - I may well take you up on it but the grandkids are off on holiday from this weekend so we have freedom!

But I'm slightly reluctant to promote meeting people from this forum.. Think I might need to talk about this with those in charge.. Oldfloss Realfoodieclub What's our stance on this? Is it just use commonsense?
We are happy to let people arrange to meet up at parkruns and events because there are quite a few people at these events, safety in numbers, sort of thing, but we are all adults we don’t ever tell people they can’t but we do urge caution on meeting people away from organised events and always consider your own personal safety. I have met a few people over the years but I have been chatting to them for quite a while before I meet up and always at an event for the first time.
Basically we have to take the official stance that it is a personal decision and not actively something we recommend without thinking it all the way through. Rfc x
