Morning everyone - hope youβve had a great weekend. Well I finally managed my run W9R3 - I planned my run for Monday 8th July having completed R2 on Friday 5th but life took over and a hectic work week ensued before heading away for the weekend to Loch Katrine - running gear packed and ready. Sunday run around the Loch would be great. ..........As a family we did a cycle around the Loch on the Saturday which my hubby said should be flat and easy. Not having cycled for over 30 years. I took to my path with trepidation and much to my hubbyβs surprise (he never exercises - proper couch potato) it was not flat at all. The next 20.9 were hills and winding paths. Long story short we made it - with loads of laughs and a sore butt or four we made it and loved it. However, Sunday was never going to be a run day, back at home sorted the camping gear as you do and headed out this morning at 6:30 and decided to do the same route I did my first run W1R1 on the 15th April. Well itβs a little more than 9 weeks as I wasnβt always able to run 3 times a week, mostly two. This morning was glorious, I ran around the park with the slightly wet earthy smells wafting and a cool breeze. 27 runs I thought - wow - some were quite memorable. I tried to remember how I felt at each stage and how I was feeling as I run slowly through the park. It felt great - I feel stronger than I have in years. Huge thank you for all your support everyone, what a great forum. I couldnβt have done it without you all - great being part of it.
July 15th - graduate. Happy days ππ If you think you canβt do this - Yes you can. Trust the programme and happy running. And apologies for the long post ππππ

Thanks Jazzyrunner, it's been a fab, tough but fab. π The time flew by just reminiscing - which is a good thing cause I hadn't run for a week. Longest break in 3 months.
Congratulations Meedeb! I think it was a great idea to do the W1R1 path and finish where it all began.
When people ask on here "I'm not losing weight...will I lose weight?" I wish I could transport them 9 weeks into the future, losing weight simply doesn't compare to running past the place you collapsed, gasping for air, only 9 weeks ago. It's such a great feeling.
