So I started the C25K program at the end of Jan and due to my fitness levels I am still only on week 2. Having said that, I also have a medical condition which is a factor when it comes to exercise so I am pretty proud of my progress so far.
Anyway, even though I am only on Week 2, I took part in the Southampton Race For Life 5K on Sunday. I used the app to time my run, walk, run, walk etc and I am really happy to say I completed the distance. Did I manage ALL the run sections - NO. Did I run more than I have ever run before - YES. Did I cross the line running and happy - YES. Now on with the program with renewed enthusiasm and the knowledge that I can make the full distance, I just have to work towards making it through running.
