Wow! You can tell it was the first, and the destination for many pilgrimages. Over a thousand people all out to have a fun run on a glorious morning.
My first post-grad run, and after 2 days off.
Managed a 30 minute run, 8 minute walk and then 5 minutes more running.

It's worth it. The crowd is incredibly friendly, as all parkrun crowds seem to be. It's also a lovely park and a simple flat course - no laps.

You may also like... a large volume of volunteers - over 50 in fact - many of them managing the extensive double funnel...
I’m also improving my time - 27mi 25sec - the 3 runs a week must be helping me. Roll on next week...

doing park run, our local one attracts over 500 runners at times some who do it in 17 minutes...
