I am currently on holiday in Turkey and today was run day ( w5r3😢😢). As the temperature is hitting the mid 30’s I tried to find all the excuses known, not to run. Anyway the “fun adjuster”(wife) asked whether I was a man or a mouse?? At this point I wanted to let out a little squeak!
Luckily the hotel has an air conditioned gym with treadmills.
So off I trot to the gym. The temperature was a refreshing 27oc😓.
Anyway set the treadmill to a brisk warm up walk with a 1% incline. All too soon Mr Johnson informed me that it was time to start running. So, with sweat already pouring out of me, I set the speed to what I thought would be suitable (7.5k/min). Anyway lasted about a minute before I was reaching for the speed adjustment...eventually settling for about 6.4min/k.
The first 10 minutes lasted for what seemed like 1/2hr and the last for what seemed like 5 mins.
I had more in the tank at the end but was still relieved when Michael said I could start my warm down walk.
I left the gym feeling like a god..(but looking like an extra from casualty😆)
So there you have it, 20min run completed. I am currently having a warm down Malibu and (diet) coke. Hope you all enjoy your day and your next run.
