My tip is to trust the programme. Each new week looks like a big step up but you'll be ready for each new challenge because of your previous runs. Your body will be ready even if your mind is still catching up! Good luck!

Yeah I didnt think I could go from week 1 to week 2 but I did it with ease so that just proves the programme works!

Is there a specific thing that you are worrying about?

If not, then you have to put your trust in the plan, it works, as the successful stories on here testify. Each week is preparing you for the next, and whilst it is fine to repeat runs if you were unable to complete the previous one, if you do complete a run then it is important you progress to the next.

As this is your first post you will not have received the invaluable 'guide to C25k', which an administartor will now post to you shortly. It is full of information and advice for every step of the C25k journey and will answer any questions you may have.

In the meantime my tips would be: 1) to run at a slow and steady pace and slower still if needed. You should be able to hold a conversation as you run. If you can't you are going too fast. Take a look at this link on the Japanese slow jogging technique youtube.com/watch?v=9L2b2kh... . A fellow runner sent me the link when I first started and it is really good at helping you to pace yourself and develop a good running technique. 2) drink plenty water on both rest and run days. Dehydration is awful and can ruin your run. 3) stretch after each run - use the NHS stretches for runners on their website.

C25k is amazing. I am a 49 year old mum and I never thought I would be a runner, but I am now in week 9 and heading to graduation. It hasn't been without it's ups and downs, but I love the sense of achievement and buzz that a run gives me. Stick with it, it's worth it.

I hope this helps. Follow the plan and you will be fine. Happy running.

Wow that video is so interesting! I always thought running should be fast and faster is better. Thank you so much for sharing!

It definitely seems daunting but I am enjoying it every time i go it gives me a really good mood boost and more positive mindset!

I am finding regulating my breathing difficult but I guess I am running to quickly!

Thanks again! X
