Ouch!!!

So... not running for 3 and a half weeks is really not a good idea. This morning’s run was hard work, putting it mildly, and my calf muscles started to tighten as soon as I stopped. On the upside, I managed 5km in 30 minutes - so very happy with that (at least till tomorrow morning when I can’t move!!)

Hi DiverIzzie! Well done on 5k in 30 mins! I’m just bracing myself for a restart having had 5 weeks off with a calf injury - nervous isn’t in it! Love the whale shark! Where was that, my one and only encounter was in the Andaman sea many moons ago! Will running make getting into my drysuit any easier?!

Ha ha! Good luck with the first run back - remember nice and slow to start! Whaleshark was in St Helena Island, South Atlantic - privileged to have 3 long snorkels with them. And running will certainly help fitting in to your wetsuit - mind you, if it’s an old one like the one I had - really thick fabric that didn’t “glide” on, you’re in for some fun - I bottled the battle and bought a new one (same size though) - much easier!!!

Oh dear. Painful. But a great time. 🎉👏🏼🎉 Go with the soak-in-the -bath suggestion, perhaps?
