1st time on a dreadmill

So, I bit the bullet!

I had my first run on a dreadmill yesterday - it’s simply too hot to run outdoors now.

I was really surprised. I set the pace to 5km/h or 12:00 per km which is actually a touch quicker than normal for me. Set the incline to 1 and I ran, and ran, and ran.

The bell went for halfway, and I felt really good.

When I got to 25 mins I was still feeling good so at 28 mins I put the pace up to 5.5km per hour, and at 29 mins I went for a big jump up to 7km per hour.

Strongest finish I’ve ever had and I feel great today.

I did notice that my Garmin struggled a bit initially - it had my kilometre paces different even though I was running at the same pace.

I’ve set a calibration now so will see what the next run brings.

That’s all folks!

Happy Trails everyone.

Glad you enjoyed it. I ran treadmill last summer as I couldn't cope with the heat, now I do my Saturday runs on it and enjoy it. I catch up on my TV and don't notice the time.
