Ankle pain

I am in need of some advice. I completed w8r3 on Monday and was due to start week 9 on Thursday however my ankle has been so sore I could hardly walk on it let alone run. How long will it take to heal? I am so close to the end and I use running as stress relief so feeling low that I have been able to get out and run. TYIA

Ankles, because of relatively poor blood flow, can take some time to heal.

When I turned mine, it was three weeks before I could run again, although I did cycle, on the advice of a physio, because in my case it was not going to stress the ligaments but would provide mobility and better blood flow.

Cycling may not be appropriate for your specific injury.

When you start running again, do all you can to minimise impact, as detailed in the guide to the plan healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

Take care.
