So that’s that for week 3, last run. I must admit that it was tough. My legs ached when I was getting ready this morning let alone when I got out of the house but it’s completed. My plan throughout this course is to keep moving on to the next weeks bunch of runs until I’m forced to stop and then, if I’m forced to stop, go back to the previous week, do that one and try the next week again etc etc if you see what I mean. So, Friday should be the start of week 4 but because I have a 6:30am meeting I’m going to give myself two rest days and go for week 4 run 1 on Saturday Morning. I could do it Friday evening of course but that means being out in public when there’s other people about and I’m not quite ready for that yet. Week 4 though, wow I mean I’ve been running for a month now. 🏃♂️ 🏃♀️ Happy Wednesday.

Sounds like you have a great plan and a way of doing this that really works for you and are wisely listening to your body. I started this just before my 53rd birthday and was trying to get fit without injuring myself. At about W6 (I was already running slowly) someone posted this m.youtube.com/watch?v=9L2b2... It changed everything for me. I run like this all the time & absolutely love it. It’s low impact and the breathing sorts itself out. If you like it, it’s worth watching a few times before running as on each viewing you’re able to work on another aspect of the technique. Hope it helps!

Well done, great approach. Don't worry, keep it slow and steady and you will not be forced to stop! Remember every run and every week prepares you for the next. The plan works! Extra days rest are fine every now and then and can actually be beneficial. Enjoy your running

Week 4 already! Isn't it great? If you stay slow and steady you probably won't have to go back and redo any. Extra days rest are fine. It took me 11 weeks to do the 9 week program and that was fine with me. Happy running and good luck on your running journey 👍
