Yesterday’s run was the last of W7 which has been really, really hard work following a very sneezy cold in week 5/6. It was a lovely but breezy morning and I changed route again to one with several hills but flattish for the last 10 minutes. Most of it is on a pretty, quiet lane and also is more sheltered from the breeze. Anyway I did the 25 minutes and then ran an extra minute just because I could. Hooray!
I have a watch which measures heart rate and I notice that I’m spending less time in Peak rate on each run. Does this mean my cardiovascular system is getting stronger? Or do I need to run faster?!!
I have a 5k Resolution Run on Sunday. I don’t think I have ever run much further than 3-3.5km, so I anticipate walking part of it! Any tips?
