Some additional health benefits from doing this programme which are now really visible to me so I thought I'd share as this may give others some encouragement; ....

Since starting the program on 2nd Jan 2019 I have been wearing a FitBit. The FitBit tracks your heart rate throughout the day, and from starting the program through to today my resting heart rate has gone from 60 down to 53, which I think is clear evidence of increased fitness levels (not to mention the stamina we are building up to run for longer periods.

Happy Days :-)

I noticed something similar on my old Polar watch via the chest strap.

I'm almost neck and neck with your results but don't think I can improve much more without doing the 5k to 10k program and introducing interval training.

It's weird seeing how quickly the heart rate recovers after exercise now - even in the swimming pool.
