I did my first park run last Saturday so this morning although I didn't run the whole park run 5k I did most of it so knew that I could do 28 mins.
My aim though was to try to switch off and enjoy the run rather than Will Ng myself to the end!!
I'm learning Spanish so decided to find a Spanish podcast! Success, because I was concentrating on trying to work out the gist of the conversation, recognise words etc the time flee by and at the end of it I couldn't really remember any of the run!! Amazing!!
Obviously Spanish won't work for everyone but finding something to think about/lose yourself in is a great way to zone out and get into a comfortable flow!!
