Ill during training of week 5

Hi I had just completed my second run of week 5 of couch to 5 k (8min run 5min walk 8 min run) I was ready do to the final run of 20mins when I got ill. So I haven’t been able to run for about 1-1/2 weeks. I am aiming to go out again on Tuesday but I’m worried I’m going to have lost all my fitness as I’ve been unable to do any exercise apart from my daily walk to the train (which some days I couldn’t do as I had no energy) can anyone advise me on what to do. Should I just try and start week 5 from the beginning?

Thanks

Try not to worry... we don't lose fitness that quickly...depending on the illness:)

Maybe, if you are feeling better.. a brisk walk to see how you feel and then a gentle jogette.

Don;t think of the Week 5 run,,just see how you feel and carry on if it all feels good. Steady and slow... your body will soon let you know what is what!

It is hard..but it happens.. and feeling on top form means the runs are so much more enjoyable... and believe me, however long you are on the IC..the runs are always waiting when you climb off it:)
