Surprising benefit, no January blues

So I am about to start week 5 and began my couch to 5k journey on 2nd Jan. I normally dread Jan as a bleak month where all I want to do is stay inside and hibernate. But with C25K forcing me out 3 times a week, I have witnessed some glorious days and some drizzle days. instead of wishing the days away I have achieved something and got out in the fresh air and seen some daylight ... jan has given me something back this year thanks to C25K. No January blues for me.

That’s cool. Well done. Week 5 is amazing, as is February outside

Me too! I think one of the big positives is getting out there in all weathers and realising that we have some lovely sunny days as well as the ones with cold drizzle and sleet!

Well done Maggers01 I am at the same stage as you, amazing how much better it feels just to get out there every other day.

The mental benefits of running are highly potent and a wonderful side effect of the exercise.
