Sounds unrealistic, but depends on your starting weight and your diet. On Jan 1st I was 15st 7lbs. By eating exclusively healthy food, cycling 40k a day (week days) and running C2K 3 times a week i have lost 10lbs. Oh and I have given up alcohol. But my aim wasn't primarily to lose weight - it was to gain fitness.

Wow that’s amazing I’m 15 stone 6lb playing a lot of squash but just to heavy .. I think I will follow your lead and do some cycling as well which must help .. thanks for the reply

If you are relying solely on C25K to help you lose weight, I would say absolutely not. 30lb on any diet/exercise regime in 9 weeks is a bit of a stretch unless it is a huge change from a massively sedentary and unhealthy eating starting point. Don't let that put you off doing C25K though - fitness is about more than just weight loss.

Maybe not do it in 9 weeks as a healthy and safe weight loss is 1 -2 lbs per week if you want to keep it off and also you have to change your eating habits for the rest of your life not just a quick fix.

I use the Samsung health app and stick to 1500 calories per day I've been doing it since May 28th 2018 and I've lost over 2 stone and my shape has changed also. Also c25k is really enjoyable so that's an advantage good luck

As I understand it, the exercise that makes us lose weight is pushing back from the table. 😂 However, C25K does change your shape, which helps a lot. 😊 My waist is shrinking, stomach is flattening and other bits are toning up, and I’m on W6. And I feel better! Good luck and enjoy.

I’m on W4 R3 on Sunday and I’ve gone from 11st 12lbs to 11st 2lbs this morning. I’m happy with 10lb in this time scale. I’ve completely changed my diet and drink 2 litres of water a day. I am going out tonight so may be a bit naughty in my eating and drinking tonight. My plan is to stick to healthy most of the time but if I’m going out then still have a bit of a cheat. Sorry for waffling just so happy I started C25K 👍. I think my weight loss will slow done now but that’s fine, I’m going to just keep it up 😀

Like everyone else has said,C25K won’t do it alone - it’s about calorie intake as well. I’ve gone from 11 stone to 8.12 in 18 weeks - the first stone in 9 weeks with the C25K programme and seriously scaling back eating (no cakes, chocolate and very little booze ☹️) and carried on the discipline since. This is a life style change I’m afraid, otherwise all the good work gets undone and you have to start all over again... so good luck and happy to have you join us!
