I’ve just completed week 3 R1 and I always map my exercise using my Apple Watch. Today I covered a much shorter distance than in week 2 is this right or am I slowing up? Also the length of exercise time was shorter. I listed to the app all the way till the end so assume it’s been written this way for a reason?
It was a very cold but beautiful morning - even caught a little pic of the sun rising 😀

It’s probably about right. Track by all means, but don’t care in the slightest about distance or pace. As the runs get longer speed may drop, and I found running also increased my walking pace, so that bit got faster... it doesn’t always follow that less walking means more distance. I just listened to this weeks “free weekly timed” podcast, and somebody knocked 40 seconds off their PB but walked a little while their previous PB was all running... confusing yes, but it’s all good. Distance only matters in a distance run, all the ones here are timed and it’s all about getting through them, running faster doesn’t end the run sooner, nor does it build your running fitness as well.
