Finally bit the bullet!

So I started the Couch to 5K tonight after waiting till the 1st December to try it out, I absolutely loved it! Having a narrator to listen to while you run makes it so much better and the time goes so quickly as I wasn’t looking at my phone constantly timing myself like usual, looking forward to future runs :D

If I can do it I promise you can too! When are you starting?

Tomorrow. I'm an early riser and live a military minded life after serving in the British Army. I can't believe how easy it was for me to ignore my health and pile on the weight.

How is your training going so far Beth?

I am exactly the same, it’s so easy to lose track of health!

I started the first week today and already feel so motivated to carry on, you feel so much better after it too, you can do it!

I'll give it a shot in the morning and let you know how I go. You're my inspiration, Beth.

Looks like we had the same idea, 1st December for me too. I have Sarah Millican talking to me, though have to admit I was waiting for the occasional filthy joke...

So do I! I thought she’d be cracking some jokes as you went along to make it easier but nope, slightly disappointing but oh well!

Well done on getting started, I found motivating myself to get out and do the 1st run was really hard and given that I am middle aged and over weight did not make that 1st run a joy. That was 12 weeks ago and I have graduated and am still running (slowly) 3 times a week. Stay motivated and keep going whatever the weather.
