Just a brief post to say hi to everyone doing Couch. I started at the end of March, never having run since school. I struggled a lot. Gremlins got me often. But I got there in the end.
Today I ran my 100th run, a slower speed 11k for the first time, getting on for an hour and a half of non-stop running as a step toward half marathon training over winter, after 8 months of running.
If you are struggling, if you wonder whether the programme works, if you think you can’t do it, remember many of us were there before you, feeling the same. Keep at it.
Enjoy your next run, whatever it is x

I think I’m more grateful than proud. Grateful to some good people who supported me then and those who are supporting me now, grateful my health and life allows me to run, grateful to have heard the right things at the right times to keep going.
That’s absolutely fantastic Jay. Very well done. On all counts. Btw I downloaded Spotify this week (I’m finally not a dinasour😀) and am enjoying your two running playlists thank you. X
Well done on your 100th run. I wish I’d kept a record of how many I’d done. I guess my garmin could tell me from when I got it. 😀 Lovely inspirational post. Rfc x
Well done Jay, it seems such a long time ago that we were supporting each other to reach the end of c25k. Who knew that we would love running so much and think of 5k as a shorter run. You have achieved so much with your weight loss too. Happy 100 runs to you and here’s to the next 100 🥂🍾
Congratulations Jay, as you might remember I started in April and, despite a few problems, I’m still going to the amazement of friends and family.😳 I’m expecting my 100th just before Christmas if all goes to plan.🤞
You’ve been an inspiration to many people on here with your determination and positivity.
Yay! Fabuloso! Sorry I'm late too! Congrats on 100 runs and 11k! I started about the same time as you and have also just done 11k - no idea how many runs though. I used one app for the first few months and then a different one, so I would have to look back and add them together. Hmm... if I get a spare few minutes may attempt it! Well done Jay 😊🏃👍💪👏
