Over 40, extremely pressured job, lots of travelling and driving on motorways and just about to go back to work after my 2nd child. I really want to change my lifestyle and get fit and hope this can fit into hectic life. But tbh, feeling a wee bit anxious to start and keep it going, I suppose the anxieties start surfacing now, will I be judged by people seeing me run, will I look a plonker, will I give up cos it’s too hard. Only time will tell, I know there are lots of people out there doing this who have felt the same, wish me luck 😉

Think the majority of people who start C25K have a mixture of the feelings you have expressed before/on their first run. I know l did. In the end l didn’t give a hoot. I was getting off my derrière & doing something positive. I hope you can find the time for yourself in your hectic life. It’s worth it, at least for me. Good luck 👍🏻

I found it quite hard to go out & do, but just do it! I wondered if I looked silly etc We should feel pleased with ourselves that we’re getting up and giving it a go. 😀

Hi! This is completely new to me too and I am incredibly unfit after dedicating all my time to work my children and going through a separation. Yesterday I completed week2 day 1 and can actually say I'm already seeing (small) progress as i struggled completed day 1 a week ago. Being outside is also so good for me. I drive to an aerodrome (it's flat!) and surrounded by nature. I felt so self conscious but no one laughed, stopped to point etc they too were walking, running, walking dogs. I say - go for it!! You can do this, we can do this!! X

Just think of how much worse you would look slobbed on the sofa and stuffing yourself with junk food ! You’re showing your kids how important healthy choices are, so this is for them as well as you. We’re all right behind you here ! Happy running 😀

Welcome. You can do it and it will make you feel great 🙂
