I am very happy that i can now run for 25 minutes! Filled with confidence now that i am running with slow music and the lovely Sarah. I tried to run our park run today and the problem i have is that there is a big hill at 10 minutes in. I just dont seem to be able to maintain a run up it and even walking i need a bit of recovery time after it
Anyone got any suggestions for dealing with it. At the moment i walk it but then feel i am not achieving my 25 minute run. Looking forward to some strategies. X

Well done on running for 25 mins! Am still yet to reach that goal but where I live it's very hard to avoid hilly parts so they end up becoming part of my run (am just in the middle of week 3 of the C25K). When I do meet a hill, I just run at the slowest pace possible, and I mean super slow! So long it's getting me over the hill and then maintaining a walking pace for recovery...i would thinks its a matter or time and continuing to build on my stamina and endurance for now, but I have noticed a marked difference just in the few weeks, I reckon the same will apply for your hill. Keep at it! X
I have just stuck to the programme and tried not to think too hard and the 25 minutes has come...but that hill!!! I don't envy you, although I am sure in the end you will be fitter than me. I'll keep working at it! Thanks
Well done on the 25 minutes (Sarah is lovely isn't she.) Re Parkrun is there another less hilly one nearby to be going on with till you build up stamina?
There is, but at this one I get to have coffee with my friends after, and I guess that is my number 1 reason for trying to run the 5K. I think I will try super super slow and just keep working at it, I might take your advice and try another one just to build my confidence if the hill keeps beating me then come back to it. I keep going back to the 80s when i get there and think of the gladiators travelator..I have "gladiators ready" running through my head. It gets me through the first 100 metres but the next 200, no way!!
