Just would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who commented on my W1R1 post. So much inspiration and advice. I was adamant I'd gone slowly enough, but enough of you spoke about speed being an issue, I would have been foolish to ignore you all.

I went comfortably slow, relaxed my shoulders, looked ahead and was surprised to find that I knew instantly that this run would be a success! I wasn't desperatly waiting for the coach to tell me to walk, in fact I was surprised at how quickly the 60secs passed! I had energy left in the tank, whilst still being satisfyingly sweaty with elevated heart rate. .... And I feel really refreshed. Enjoyed myself! Shocked. πŸ˜‚

Thanks so much.... And if anyone yet to start, or just finished a horrendous first run, is reading this..... Slowly slowly. 😁

Well done. Your doing great. Keep up the good work. It will get easier I promise xx

Yes! Slow and steady is definitely the way. If you're struggling or getting out of breath, just slow down, even if it's just to a walking pace, so long as you're still technically running, it's all good.

Congratulations on completing the second run of this week. People underestimate how tough week 1 is. You're getting used to doing something new, whilst your body is probably screaming at you to stop, and week 1 in particular has so many intervals, stop-start all the time. So you are doing great, trust me.

Keep posting on here for moral support :)

fabulous! Well done! Now if we could change the banner photo to your quote "I was adamant I'd gone slowly enough..." :P :D keep it up all through week 1 and beyond!

What I found is that my mental strength increased massively, whereas in the early weeks I would be tempted to stop(and occasionally did) in later weeks I was much more determined to keep going and did so, it’s a fantastic programme, keep going and keep posting
