Literally a bloody toe...dog got in the way and I stubbed my toe on the skirting board! Went all day at work, without realising the severity of the injury...sock off at the end of the day...it’s broken but worse, I managed to decapitate it!

Safe to say I can’t run for a bit...😔😔😔😔. I’m at week 6 and it was going so well!!

Oh no! That sounds really horrible :-( One day my cat will end up causing me an injury as she materialises underfoot when I least expect it. It's frustrating when you had got so far, but all you can do is rest and heal. When you are ready, ease back into the programme - it will still be there for you. Good luck, and hope your toe heals as quickly as possible

I'm not sure but I may have broken more toes over the years than I've had Jaffa Cakes. Unless it's your big toe it should be okay in about a week. Annoying tho. And hurty for the first few days. Want me to come over and have a "word" with the dog?

Thanks for all the comments, wasn’t looking for sympathy but just needed people to know 😂.

Regarding having a word with the dog sallenson, I had a lot of words for the dog when it happened, he’s only just starting to be my friend again now.

Don't take up judo!! More broken toes than a broken-toed thing. Unless you really like fighting :-)

I feel your pain. I broke my toe 8 weeks ago - the second one - and thought it would be fine in a week but I had to do 4 weeks without running and therefore started the programme again - luckily for me I was only on week 2. It is still really swollen but much less painful. I had, or rather my horse had, decapitated it also so I know how you must be feeling. All I can say is take it slowly and keep off it as much as possible - the mistake I made was carrying on as normal which I think set my healing back quite a bit. It still looks less like a toe and more like a miniature red misshapen balloon 😝

Take it easy and heal thyself! 😊

When I see any sentence involving the words "horse" and "decapitated" I have terrible flashbacks to The Godfather.... :-)

I stubbed my toe , broke it and had to have surgery to stop my nail growing into my skin - very painful and only way to get it back right is to rest and keep it up 😐
