The day has arrived where I have to up my runs from 5 mins (which I don't find easy) to 8 mins.....aaarrrggghhhh!! If anyone has any tips then please let me know, they would be much appreciated. I run relatively slowly so cant really slow it down anymore otherwise I would be walking.

I somehow managed to run for 8 minutes, not sure how. I slowed it down a little and although I had to push myself to finish the second 8 minute run I did it. I am so impressed with myself considering I didn't do any running 5 weeks ago. I am still not loving it but I love the sense of achievement that I get once I have completed my runs. Now for the 20 minute run....aaaarrgggghhh!!!

Just believe that you can do it and be in control of your breathing. It's more about the mind now than the body! :O

Good that you are going slow but remember you can never be going too slow! :)

You will be fine! :)

You really can do it I promise! Have faith in your body. Your mind will give up well before your legs do.

Keep a steady pace and remember your breathing techniques...but most of all enjoy it!

Good luck - look forward to see how you get on :-)

Woohoo - 8 minutes here you come!

If you find yourself huffing and puffing try for a couple longer deeper breaths to help get back into a good breathing pattern and tell your legs to keep going!
