Had got to w2r3 when shin splints hit. Have rested, got new trainers, moved from hard path to grassy park and back to w1r3. Went slowly and carefully and did the whole run without pain.
So happy and waiting for Thursday so I can run again.

Try rubbing a deodorant can up/down the shin muscles too. After your runs
