Week three is complete!

After heavy rain overnight, it had stopped by 5.15- this morning was easier to drag myself out of bed and we were out of the door by 5.50.

Three weeks in – the time has gone exceptionally quickly and when I look back to week one rune one, I can’t believe the difference.

I felt almost comfortable in the run today, and when the voice came into my ear telling me it was time to run again, my first thought wasn’t “Oh god not again” and by the final three minute stint, I was tired but I wasn’t wishing the time away – I think I came very close to actually enjoying it.

I do of course realise now that I’ve got to a stage where it’s not “hurting” as much, that’s the stage to push myself more, and that I will (invariably) on Friday with week four – the mental hurdle for the next one is that we’re given less “recovery” time, but I shall go out and see how I feel – bring it on!
