Morning...*polishes new badge proudly*...(do I still post here?!?)..decide to do another early one...I think I’m definitely leaning towards “dawn patrol” as opposed to “night manoeuvres”....

Felt odd without jo in my ear, especially when I found myself waiting for the half way bell that wasn’t coming 🤦🏻‍♂️

Downloaded a desert island disc podcast of a celebrity I quite like, and It was a good distraction ( there are hundreds of them available should anyone be interested in a change).

Started to rain on the back ward stretch but by that point I was all hot and bothered so it felt good.

Ran 5k in about my usual plodding time , got home , had shower and am now getting ready to drop of my two direct debits on the school run.

Good luck on your week , and if it helps at all, even now I’ve graduated , I still have “urgggggh !!...bloody hell” moments ...happens to the best of us I’m sure 💪🏻🤣

Oh...the other reason I like dawn patrols is im a coastal boy ( all my life) and if I’m early enough- I get to see this as my view-if I ran in the dark I wouldn’t get to see it , and that would be borderline criminal

Laters 👋🏻

That's a beautiful place to run! I wish I lived by the sea. Sigh. I am a dawn patrol runner myself; find it really invigorating to see the sun come up and experience the world whilst it is clean and fresh in the morning.

Well done on your first post-grad run! I found that I continued (and still do) to see real progress running 3 x a week. Keep slogging away at those 5ks my friend; pretty soon they will become more manageable, and you might even find yourself speeding up a tiny bit (I did). These runs build stamina.

Great photo thanks and well done. I love running on the beach - especially as the tide is going out & the waders enjoying their post high tide feeding frenzy. 😄

Definitely keep posting, there’ll always be someone at the same stage as you and it’s nice to hear other people’s thoughts/struggles. Happy running 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️
