So far, so good & still going much better than I ever could have imagined. I do find I doubt myself and I'm not at all comfortable in the early stages of these 25 minute runs but I do go slow & steady very much on purpose. When I get the message from Jo (& the bell) that I have hit halfway I do up the pace a bit and a bit more again for the last five minutes before a strong push for the last minute. Most amazing bit is that within a matter of seconds my breathing is normal and thinking back to W1 when I was literally gasping for breath, its amazing and shows that C25K is structured very well by pushing us to uncomfortable limits but not overstretching us.
The feeling of pure elation when the run is completed more than compensates for any doubts and uncertainties in the first 5 minutes.
Still not feeling particularly like a runner, but my canter is improving!

Well done 👍 I’m running Wk7 R2 tomorrow morning and completely echo what you said about the first 5mins 😳 really hoping I have a successful run like you 🤞
Well done! I’ve just done the same run this evening. Like you, the first five minutes are a trial, but I know if I just keep going through that it’ll get better as I settle down. And yes, isn’t it amazing how quickly our fitness has developed with just a few short weeks since those 60 second runs were a challenge.
Keep going - the end is so close now, you’ve got this!
