Today’s run was one of mixed enthusiasm. I say that as at work, I’m facilitating a C25K for my colleagues and our service users, today was the start of Week 2 and I ended up running the full session with the group when I have usually been clock watching, blowing a whistle and motivating individuals, reaffirming why they signed up for the challenge.

So when I got home I was really in two minds whether I wanted to run again. Eventually I quit procrastinating got into my running gear, had a stretch and hit the bricks... and loved it. Two 8 minute runs were very comfortable, I was relaxed, able to take in my surroundings (ie be plain unashamedly nosey) and paced it just right.

These runs are the ones that keep me reinvigorated and motivated and remind me of the pleasure derived from getting out. I no longer fear the pending 20min one to close out the week and confident, that I got this!

Happy running folks
