I was due to be away today, but it was cancelled due to weather. Snow on the ground and the skies clear I thought I can do this at lunchtime. Then 5 mins before i plan to run snow starts to fall again and I looked out and thought if I use that as an excuse now its sets a pattern already of excuses. So off I went on W1R2 ran a bit slower than r1 after reading some tips. And the running overall was easier. I suspect my first few runs in r1 were quicker than they should have been. In my mind I have always been a fast runner when I played football and was younger and used to find running easy when I was sub 30. I am hoping to get back to something that doesn't feel too hard and slow. So I think I need to take it easy early on and don't judge myself on "speed" at this stage.

Slow and steady works.. speed can follow:) Well done you!

Definitely forget the speed element - that comes later - just focus on the steady and the stamina and you’ll do 9 weeks very nicely.

As I got fitter I thought I ought to be able to run for longer and go faster - doh how dumb was that?- don’t make my mistakes!

Excellent! Yep, forget speed, at this point you just need to get through each one. You'll see your speed go up and down over the next few weeks. 👍😁
