Well almost, I did start this a couple of years back but personal circumstances made me stop, ok, its a feeble excuse but hey!

Just finished week 1, 1st run was ok for me, 2nd was even better but the 3rd! Was really tough and was dreading moving on to week 2, even thinking of running week 1 again but from reading comments on here it has made me determined to carry on with the 2nd week.

I ache, but I don't hurt which is good for me, I have a problem with my knees not all caused by weight, came off a motorbike when I was 17 and lower impact sports especially cycling had always helped me, but I've always wanted to be able to run distances, I don't mean long distances but anything more than a mile!

Can anyone share experiences of low-spots and how to overcome? I'm sure they are coming so would be helpful.

Welcome Steve. Trust in the program but more importantly listen to your body. Don’t push things on your knee as it may put you on the IC (injury couch). Take a look at my graduation post from a month ago. It took me 12 weeks to complete the 9 due to my own health issues but today I ran 6.5km. So it can be done. It’s amazing!!

Welcome to the best thing :)

You just need to take it slow and take it steady.:)

No low spots..unless you make them.. look forward to each run for what it offers... a structured build up and a great journey to the 30 minute runs at week 9.

Different runs and different little disciplines , but all informing our running and giving us incredible benefits, physically and mentally :)

Warm up well and stretch after runs.. do not ever miss a rest day :)

Listen to your body and make sure you fit in non -impact exercise on rest days too..maybe try these?
