W1 R3 - clumsy made a few errors!!!

Ok, so I decided to try different route today, in town when dropping kids off. So firstly I hadn't considered what to do with my phone and car keys!!! No pockets!!! So I had to run sweaty palmed with phone in one hand keys in the other!! I also totally failed to plan a route... I knew I was going to run along river but what I didn't factor was how far the path went!!! So I ended up running up and down path getting some very strange looks!! After doing that a few times I decided to go off route and ended up in a field!!! Very slippy and muddy!! My trainers look wreaked!

One funny thing that got me through today's run was my kids mortified faces at the site of me, in running gear with head phones on outside school lol!! Apparently not a cool look ๐Ÿ˜Ž lol.

Anyhow, that's W1 complete for me! Next run on Sunday am, and I think I need to plan a bit better next time!

Happy running folks ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ

Love this post. Firstly, I have to say well done for your perserverance as you carried on with the odds against you with almost everything! I had to hold some headphones in my hand last week and I found it irritating so I can only imagine how having to hold keys AND a phone was, along with everything else. Your route sounds fun and you never know, you may even repeat it one day just because you can :-D Good luck for the next run

Made me chuckle keep up the good work I totally agree the what to do with keys etc ... I put my phone in a waterproof arm band contraption it works for me ... keys hmmm they have been tucked in held onto and constantly fiddled with just so I know they are still with me ๐Ÿคฃ

I'm off the sports direct to buy a shower proof jacket or maybe one of those arm band things!! I'll be looking like a proper runner before too long!!! ๐Ÿ˜‚

I wear a super lightweight running jacket with pockets. I stick things in the pockets, leave the zip done and tie the arms around my waist. Sort of like a big fluorescent belt ha ha. I probably look like a dork but I don't care. Bluetooth headphones mean the phone can be anywhere, also nice... Some running clothes come with a pocket at the centre back, those are particularly awesome.

Well done! It is difficult to for in where to run with everyday life isn't it? I had to smile, I tried taking my lab and husband yesterday (he walked!!!) along the canal towpath to run....total nightmare ...uneven path, dog under my feet, and grass clumps to trip me up! I'm lucky we have an old disused railway line that's a pathway behind where I live 5 mins walk away so I've used that mostly. Keep going find a good even path and enjoy! Ps I plan to wear my stuff to work on mon as it's PE in the afternoon and I thought it'd save me changing for my run after work. Can't wait to see other staffs faces they'll die laughing!!!

Lol!!! Sounds so like me!!! I haven't tried running with my dog yet... she's a springer... so maybe not the best running companion as she has her nose in the hedge constantly!! ๐Ÿถ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ
