Week 4

Hi, I'm on week 4 and really enjoying getting outside into the fresh air. Thought I'd have lost some weight as I'm using My Fitness Plan and logging my food.

Had a nice comment though from a friend who said I looked like I'd lost weight so that cheered me up. Anyone else the same?

Hello, I've just started week 4 and have put weight on, though not much. I expect you're standing better, because running exercises your core muscles, which will make you look slimmer. I'm finding week 4 a big step up from week 3, my legs don't feel up to it and I don't feel as exhilarated as the 1st couple of weeks.

Hi there! I'm on week 9 and have almost lost a dress size, I started feeling the difference around week 6. I weighed myself onnce on week 1 then again last week (week8) and I weight exactly the same!! It is a little disheartening isn't it. But look on the flip side if people can see a difference, you must have lost plenty of fat and balanced the weight out with all that new muscle mass!

It's still early days and the running isn't designed in Itself to give you weight loss, but you do tone up and your experience is similar to a lot of folk on here. As your run times extend through the plan, it does start making a difference. And isn't great to get that kind of compliment from a friend, that's a lovely boost. Happy running

Hey Burnleygirl, I'm doing the same (myfitnesspal and C25K) and just finished the second run of week 4 this morning - hurrah! I have only lost a smallish amount of weight but I do feel slimmer - like the weight has shifted around a bit and there is less on my tum! I'm thinking slow and gradual weightloss is the way to go... If people are commenting that you look slimmer then that's brilliant! Well done. How are you doing now (just realised you posted this a week or so ago)? x
