Hi. My name is Jen, I am 46 and have been running for about 5 months. I started with a running club who taught me the walk run routine for the first few months but now I am doing 5k non stop woop woop......but the reason I need help is that, when I'm really shattered, but keep running, in getting like a cold sensation around my brain. It really is starting to scare me now. Only seems to start when I am totally shattered and continues for probably half an hour. Can anyone tell me what it is xx

Too fast...pushing too hard, too soon.. ?

This forum follows C25K which is a really structured, steady and slow progression to thirty minute runs over nine weeks. Getting us there slowly and steadily, enjoyably and, hopefully injury free.

Our running legs and our stamina and strength take a lot of time to build up...:)

If you fancy it, although you have run 5K non stop;why don't you join us and give us a go... ?

Even if you start at Week 1 and find it so easy, it would at least give your body and more importantly, your mind, chance to refresh, recharge and rest?

It sounds like you are not enjoying your running... you will here!! :)

We are the same age :) I would see your GP. I did a running group at work and one of the ladies experienced this and turned out to be undiagnosed high BP. Hopefully its nothing of the sort but worth getting checked :)

I second the opinion that a visit to the doctor is a good idea.
