Worst run ever!

I had a heavy meal an hour and a half or so before my run, and boy - did it make a difference, but in a negative way!

I have never been so slow since I graduated; I felt like I was dragging myself through cement.

Question: how soon after eating is it ok to run?

Answer: It depends on the size of the meal.

One man's banquet is another man's snack.

Two to four hours is one recommendation I recall, for a heavy meal, however I never run after a heavy meal, having done so for my graduation run. A light meal, maybe 60 -90 minutes and a snack 30 minutes is generally stated. That said, my banana is normally eaten as I go out of the door for my long run.

Oh well, another lesson learned......

Not 100% sure but I usually leave about 2 hours after my tea before running any sooner than that I get really bad stitches and feel sick x
